While extracting multiple teeth during the same procedure is rare, it is sometimes the only option for patients with severe tooth decay. There is no clear rule for the number of teeth that can be safely extracted in one session. The answer depends on your oral health situation and your oral surgeon’s recommendations.
In some cases, full-mouth extraction may be appropriate. How many teeth need to be extracted depends on your individual case. For example, it is possible that several teeth that must be removed to protect your oral health are irreparable, or you may have between 1 and 4 wisdom teeth that must be removed at the same time. Before each extraction, we will carefully check your health condition, how difficult the extractions will be, which teeth need to be removed, and so on.
